DOCUMENTARY SHORT

USA 3.0

By any measure, 2025 was a tumultuous year in America.

USA 3.0 conveys the friction and social dissonance leading up to the presidential election and the months that followed. Designed to evoke a visceral response, this short film is a compilation of visual journalism from members of The VII Foundation and their colleagues in the VII Community. These images have been combined with words and found sound for an immersive, non-narrative reflection that ricochets from the immigrant crisis to campaign drama, from human rights issues to our changing climate. Developed as a video companion to a print publication, this story conveys the discomfort and confusion of a fraught moment in history.
